The MSc International Maritime Studies – Marine Spatial Planning
degree at Southampton Solent University is designed to give you a
detailed knowledge and understanding of the rationale, development and
implementation of Marine Spatial Planning. It also aims to enable you
to analyse and evaluate the conflicting pressures associated with
marine resource development and protection, and to provide solutions
in light of sustainable development.
The course aim to produce graduates who are both technically
competent and capable of management at project level and above.
It is expected that those who have completed the course may look
towards roles such as: project managers within relevant maritime
organisations and business research and development professionals
