Many companies in Upper Austria specialise in building industrial plant. Graduates of this course are project managers who supervise and coordinate plant construction projects from signature of the purchase contract to completion of the project, taking into consideration all the relevant framework conditions: budget, schedule, required quality and many more factors. They are the interface between customer and supplier and coordinate the various specialist personnel for process engineering, design, automation, construction, assembly, accounting and legal matters. Plant Construction Engineers work in an international field and therefore need not only social- and management skills but also excellent command of English.
Graduates of this Master’s degree course are eminently qualified to plan, coordinate, supervise and manage industrial plant construction projects and are prepared not only for careers in companies of this field but also for careers in all large companies in the processing industry which build new plant or extend existing plant.
