Expenses, accommodation, working etc.

The Classical Mediterranean is often approached through its rich textual record.

Our MA goes deeper. We systematically explore the full range of archaeological data that sometimes complement and sometimes contradict the textual.

It’s a strong platform for doctoral research.

Alongside a wide range of modules, you’ll also learn how to manage your own research, from planning and execution through to presenting your findings.

Themes include landscape change, material culture and identity, field survey, excavation and lab analysis. Supervised by an academic, you’ll research and write a dissertation on a subject of your choice.
